Rick Rome sees no reason that engineers have to be boring and he has spent a lifetime bucking the stereotype. Rick serves as ccrd President and principal-in-charge of numerous design projects around the country. A graduate of University of Kansas, Rick brings more than 30 years of engineering experience providing sustainable design solutions to a variety of clients on a range of projects. His extensive MEP background includes projects like large coal-fired electrical generating stations, computer facilities, medical complexes, high-rise corporate buildings and more. From MEP systems design and cost control to project scheduling and systems evaluation, Rick loves collaborating with clients and the ccrd design team, always looking for creative ways to enhance each project’s sustainability.

Rick is a founding member of the Dallas AIA Committee for Sustainability.

George A. Campbell, PE

Board Principal, Dallas

George Campbell believes that teamwork is the essence of problem solving. George serves as a Board Principal in the Dallas office. He also collaborates on various projects as principal-in-charge, lending his keen insights in illumination, communication systems and cost effectiveness. A graduate of University of Illinois, George has more than 40 years experience. His extensive background in the contracting industry has equipped George with a terrific ability to find cost-effective, sustainable solutions for his clients.

George serves as a board trustee for Speedway Children’s Charity. In his spare time, George is a general aviation pilot who enjoys flying and restoring vintage airplanes.

David B. Duthu, PE

Board Principal, Houston

David Duthu loves what he does and loves surrounding himself with people who share that passion. A founding Principal of ccrd, David brings over 30 years of experience in the fields of mechanical engineering design, technical engineering design and project management. In addition to his administrative responsibilities, he serves as the principal-in-charge of numerous projects across the U.S. David graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Today, he offers our clients an ever-expanding expertise in Biocontainment, Chemical and Physics Research Laboratories, as well as vibration analysis and asset management. His experience spans everything from clean rooms and medical labs to government facilities and corporate high-rises. David has authored and co-authored several technical papers on such specialized subjects as BSL-4 Biocontainment facilities, vivarium ventilation analysis and design issues for insectaries.
