Richmond International Airport
Not every MEP engineering firm can take on the up and down challenge of a world-class aviation complex. But ccrd can’t get enough of it. Consequently, ccrd has offered its consulting services on more than a dozen projects at Richmond International Airport. On our first project at RCI, ccrd provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services for Leo A. Daly on the Security Checkpoint Expansion designed in 2002, and completed in 2004. In 2004, we were commissioned by Leo A. Daly to be their mechanical, electrical, plumbing engineer for the Baggage Claim expansion as well.
In 2006, we were awarded an On-call Mechanical and Electrical Design Services Contract that extended from 2006-2008. Under that contract we completed over a dozen different projects that entailed humidity control upgrades to their concourses, retail outlet renovations, AHU replacements, and office and conference center renovations.
• Baggage Handling
• Restaurant Exhaust
• Rooftop Unit Study @ Concourse A & B
• Administration Offices
• Main Conc.-Humidity Control Upgrade
• US Airways AHU
• Airport Grounding Review
• Concourse C – HVAC
• Security Checkpoint
• New Boardroom
Developing sustainable engineering solutions for aviation projects is one of the things ccrd does best. It’s more than good engineering. It’s an art.
