The Houston Contact Center is an existing 220,000 square foot, call center facility with 1300 seats located on the Katy Freeway in Houston, TX. The building consists of the main call center, LAN data center, an administration wing, a kitchen, and a childcare center. The administration wing is a 2-story building while the remainder of the facility is 1-story.

ccrd evaluated the contact center to determine lighting replacement options for portions of the call center floor area which have only the metal halide pendant fixtures (214) and metal halide high bay fixtures (73) installed. Lighting fixture calculations were completed using modeling software to investigate the existing fixture foot candle levels in the call center space, dining area, and perimeter corridor compared to newer, more energy efficient light fixtures and how they would affect the existing energy demands of the contact center.
