Zeigler Cooper wanted to team up with an engineering firm that understood the challenges of providing MEP services for a world-class data center. That’s why they went with ccrd.

ccrd provided all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services for this 140,000 square foot build to suit. Features include tenant improvements for 12,00 person call center and training facility. Uninterruptible power system (600 KVA), dual power service and diesel standby generator system (2,000 KW) provide back-up power to the facility.

The facility includes unique challenges like a tall atrium lobby with stone flooring; an open balcony at the second level; 12-foot ceilings; indirect pendant lighting; and a raised floor data center with UPS and emergency generator back-up systems.

Amenities include training rooms, employee cafeteria, health and fitness facility, outdoor landscaped dining area, and human resources center and teleconference room. The two story state-of-the-art facility houses 980 operators on large raised floor platform areas organized around a central core spine providing the building’s voice, data and power infrastructure. A two-story high lobby and reception area punctuates the centralized core and serves as the main control center of the building’s security operations.

Bottom line, JP Morgan got a leading-edge facility that was sustainable and affordable. That’s what art looks like.
