JP Morgan International Plaza I, II & III
Farmers Branch, Texas
ccrd is an MEP engineering firm that collaborates with owners and architects to design sustainable systems for corporate centers across the country. A great example of this is JP Morgan’s three-building master-planned corporate facility. The complex totals 1.1 Million Square Feet. The overall facility includes office space, 25,000 square feet of MIS, a food service facility, a training/classroom facility, a health fitness facility, and a day care facility. This beautifully landscaped plaza area has four dramatics fountains and covers over 1 acre.
The corporate facility includes: Eight high-speed passenger elevators, separate freight elevator, 3,500 car parking garage, state-of-the-art electrical capacity, completely ADA accessible, multi-zoned air conditioning and heating systems, and a state-of-the-art energy management system.
Systems features include the following:
- Nominal three, 150 ton condenser water system (both buildings) with packaged air conditioner units on the floor.
- Two 400 ton air-cooled chillers arranged for N + 1 redundant operation for data center cooling.
- Two 2,500 KVA main-tie-main service entrance substations.
- Dual electric utility service to the site with automatic transfer.
- Digital control logic for utility and EG paralleling for closed transition operation.
- Four 1,500 KW diesel engine-generators arranged for N + 1 redundant operation for standby power to the entire facility.
- Two separate UPS systems with four 375 KVA/300 KW modules each for 2N redundant operation for UPS power to the data center.
- Data center power distribution includes dual transformer, static switch PDU’s.
Designing sustainable corporate complexes like this one takes more than engineering excellence. It takes creative collaboration. That’s the art of ccrd.
